What makes a good picture?

  • Think, "Is this a photo I could envision on a professional website?"
  • Is your photo in focus and high resolution?
  • Do you have permission from everyone in the photo for it to be publicly posted?
  • Is the lighting good?

What kind of pictures should you send?

  • Pictures of you in treatment
  • Pictures of you and your family
  • Pictures before or after surgery
  • Pictures of you living your life
  • Pictures of you with  your medical team
  • Pictures from healthcare workers and hospitals

If we use your photo, we'll send you some Alliance "swag" (featuring our new logo that we will unveil soon) and provide photo credit on our website and social media.

HEAD & NECK CANCER AWARENESS MONTH - APRIL

THE RACE ISN'T OVER YET...

Thank you to those who have joined us for the Move-A-Thon, we are grateful for your participation.  For those of you who have not yet, awareness month is not over yet. There's still time to join the Move-A-Thon!

This is the perfect opportunity to share your head and neck cancer story, which will help bring awareness to those unfamiliar with head and neck cancer and provide hope to those currently going through their own cancer journey.

Find out more about the Move-A-Thon here!

RAISE YOUR GLASS FUNDRAISER

We'd like to give a HUGE "thank you" to Jason Mendelsohn (Alliance board member, ambassador, and survivor) and his team for their fantastic Awareness Month fundraiser, which was held earlier this month in Orlando, FL.

They raised over $100,000 for us! All the proceeds from the Move-A-Thon and other fundraisers are funneled back into our programs to help survivors and caregivers.

MEET OUR AMBASSADORS:
Denise DeSimone
Survivor of Stage IV Throat & Neck Cancer;
Haverhill, MA

Denise’s journey began the moment she opened her eyes in a post-op ward to the words, “You have cancer." She was told if she didn’t move at rapid speed, she had three months to live.

Denise approached her cancer treatment using her own unique combination of alternative therapies, music, allopathic medicine, deep faith that fear would bow its head to faith and a strong connection to a higher power. Denise considers herself not just a “survivor,” she is a “THRIVER.”

She recounts her journey of courage and strength in her book, FROM STAGE IV TO CENTER STAGE.  hrough her works, Denise conveys that she chose not to Battle Cancer, she chose to Befriended It.
